WORDS OF HOPE

Would a judge hang out with a criminal? Would a pastor hang out with a sinner? Would anyone publicly hang out with an outcast? Certainly not! In the time of Jesus Christ, the pharisees publicly judged law breakers and they refused to associate with them. Jesus Christ never shamed any sinner, he welcomed  and helped them.  People are bound to judge you when they find out about the secrets you hold but God knows them already and still wants you. If you run to him, he promises to make you better.

Who teaches a baby how and when to talk? Who tells a baby when to walk? Who teaches a baby how to live? Babies just do baby stuffs. They learn how to crawl and then try standing; before you realise it you are chasing them around. Everything happens in it's due time, when your maker's time is right; he would give you what you deserve. Just trust the process and don't rush. 

Have you seen a mustard seed before? It's one of the smallest seed you can ever find but when it grows; it becomes one of the biggest trees. Serving as a home to many animals. So the bible talks about having faith as a mustard seed and being able to move mountains as a result. How big is a drug? How many do you need to take to get well? But to be able to move a mountain, you only need a mustard seed faith. If the smallest seed can become the biggest tree then your faith can lead to greater miracles. Have faith.

So you believe that people live in a ball -like thing called a globe. You believe that we live in a globe which orbits around a sun? You believe that some  forces keep the globe from falling down. You believe that humans are descendants of apes. You literally believe in everything scientists have told you and yet you don't believe in God! Well I'm not going to tell you to, but it's better to be a believer and die and find out that God doesn't exist than not be a believer and die and find out that God exists.  The regret of your current actions won't change your fate when you die.

When it comes to power, there's a hierarchy. Everyone wields power; power over ourselves and over others. A President has power over his people but before he is voted into power; these same people have the power to decide. Pastors may be powerful but it's a hierarchy. The pastor who might help you might not be able to help me. What would cause one pastor to stumble, would only strengthen another. That person that you need help from also needs somebody's help. It's quite obvious that absolute power only belongs to God.

 Everything has a price. Some crimes are paid off with a price but nobody cares if you can pay it or not. When you break the law and you are suppose to make payment, nobody would ask if you have enough money. When you visit a priest and he ask for money as a payment for his help; does he ask how much you can offer? Certainly not. Nobody cares enough to ask about what you are capable of but God cares enough not to allow you be tempted beyond your strength. Jesus Christ has already paid the price so God doesn't require of it. 

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your strength, but with the temptation will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.  1 Corinthians 10:13

 Blessed is the man who endures trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life which God has promised to those who love him. Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted with evil and he himself tempts no one; but each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin; and sin when it is full-grown brings forth death. James 1:12-15

What is the truth? Are we sure everything we know about this world is true? Should you always be truthful? The truth sometimes hurt and is difficult to accept. People always talk about telling the truth but how truthful is that? Everyone wants the truth and so I ask what is the truth. "I am the truth". Only one man could say that, he didn't talk about telling the truth; he said he is. Jesus could have lied to save himself so many times but as the truth, he didn't. If you want the truth, it's in Christ and his words. To be truthful, he has to be in you.

Everyone has an experience so they can offer solutions to problems. Farmers ask for the quality of  fertilizers from their fellow farmers. Ask women, every product they purchase is driven by people's recommendations. Sometimes people's experiences may not be a hundred percent reliable but I know of one man who's own is. When Jesus felt very weak, he prayed to God for strength. When he was dejected, he looked up to God. When all seemed lost, he held unto his faith and when people hurt him; he prayed for them. Lastly when he was soiled with sin; he cried unto God. You can agree that this man went through worst than you ever will and yet; he called unto God. That's the best solution.

A nger, jealousy and greed. Whenever any of these fuels a cause, its effect is disastrous. Anger is like fire, it spreads and burns quickly;  causing much damage. Jealousy is evil, it's the cause of many deaths. Greed is like a thirst which is never quenched, you may get all you want and still seek for more. These three attitudes are turning men against each other, they have blinded men and influenced men to do their worst. You are human and have desires but if any of these attitudes is the cause; then you should be careful. 

I watched a documentary about preys. Predators feed on preys but preys also need to feed themselves. On land, preys feed on vegetation, as they feed, they always need to keep a look out.  You would find monkeys, deer, water hogs, etc feeding by a river bank. Sometimes these preys feed alongside elephants because predators wouldn't dare come around. We are all preys in this world, with one predator lurking around. Now as preys, we can feed together and watch each others back . The only presence that scares the predator is that of God. 

Do unto others what you waFnt others to do unto you. As usual it's easier said than done. Sometimes I read some articles and get sad and at other times; I get angry. How can you look in the eye of another man and hurt him? Is it not the same blood that runs through our veins? Look at how painful it is ,  when you hurt yourself and yet we hurt others all the time; with our words and actions. Keep this in mind, whatever pain you cause someone would  create an opportunity for another person to do the same to you. The words people utter when they are in pain , normally take effect.

A s you take care of you outer body, there's a need to take care of your inner body. You should eat healthily and relax well, just as you present yourself well on the outside. If you deed these two quite necessary then you should also feed your spiritual being. What food does the spiritual being require; prayer, reading and meditating on the word, faith and living a righteous life. If you don't live a healthy lifestyle, you might not live for long and if your spiritual being is also not strong; that's even more deadly. There's a need to balance both.

When a driver hits the road without a map in mind, street signs or directions; he's bound to lose his life. First of all, because he has no idea where he is going and secondly, he has no guidance. That's how life is, if you don't have any direction or a guide; you would be moving in circles. Do you know of any person who knows the way ahead? Is it enough to rely on someone's experience? I certainly haven't heard of anyone who knows everything, experiences are good to rely on but not hundred percent. The best map is the bible and the best guide is God.

Here's the bitter truth, people face problems each day.  People cry, people get heart broken, people die, people hurt others, people starve and to top it  all the world is sometimes cruel to everybody. At a point in time someone wanted to leave this world, the person might have lost hope. Life gets tough sometimes but nobody wants to share that moment with others. We all want to sell our lives as  perfect pictures, we refuse to share our flaws with anyone. We may be subjected to judgement and ridicule so we break down only behind closed doors. That's the norm of the day but note that; you aren't the only person facing trails.  Life is not perfect so don't be jealous of others.

Kings perform so many roles. They settle disputes, ensure peace and order, represent his people when there is a need etc. Can kings provide for all the needs of his people? Can his people share their secrets with him? Does the chief know everything that goes on in his community? Certainly not! There's a king I know who knows everything that happens to his people. He is responsible for all the needs of his people.  His people can share their deepest secrets with him and he wouldn't judge them. This king does everything for his people, all they need to do is ask him.  First of all, God is a father and then a friend. If you only treat him as a God, maybe you should try him as a friend. 

W hat do you have? What don't you have? It gets to a point in life when we wish we had more, not out of jealousy but just a strong desire. If you always desire for more you might not realise the important things you have. If you are always focused on the things you yearn for, you would never put to good use the things you have now. Let's try this out, manage the things you have now, try new ways of making good use of them and  when you get the things you always yearn for; be grateful. 

What happens when your airtime gets exhausted? Do you wait for the service provider to top up for you? Doesn't the service provider know that you need airtime? Why don't they top up for you? They need your permission which is why you have to make a request. Doesn't God know our needs? Why doesn't He just provide them? Like your airtime, you need to make a request. He has stated clearly that we should ask him and it would be given. It may take long but he would answer, whether by providing what you need or giving you something else. Which aspect of your life needs a top up? Make a request soon.

There's this cartoon that I enjoy watching, unfortunately I don't remember the title. It involves a wicked witch who asked a man to kill an Egyptian king so that she could take his place. Throughout the cartoon, the characters made decisions with the help of their good side and bad side. Their good sides were represented by an angel form of them whiles their bad sides were represented by the devil. From this, I can assume that man has good and evil in him. As for the devil himself, he's always around; in the garden of Eden. When God met with his elders, he went there. Literally, before the devil makes a move, you would have being contemplating on doing bad or good. Not every crime is fueled by the devil.
