WORDS OF HOPE

 

  Don't allow people's actions to dictate your emotions. How is your life? Is it devoid of joy? Do you only smile when a good thing happens? Are you enjoying your life?  Do you know that you own your life? Do you know that you have a say in your life? Are you aware that no one has the right to take away your joy? Not even the one providing for your needs?  This journey called life is lived once and for just that, you need to enjoy it. Your joy should not be based on happenings, you need to find peace and joy in your life. Note; not in something or someone, that can easily be taken away from you.  When God gives you peace and joy, nothing can dictate your emotions. There is this calmness you feel even when things are not going well. Jesus Christ was fast asleep when the boat was sinking; he was literally asleep in the mist of the storm and panic among the disciples. He silenced the storm when He woke up. You need this kind of silence in the ongoing crisis and God can give it to

  How many years have you spent on earth? Do you belong to a Christian church? Do you have a personal relationship with God? If yes, how has the journey been? From the first day till date,  have you grown in Christ?  Growing is progressive, like a seed planted in a conducive environment,  it's growth nurtured till it becomes fully matured to bear fruits.  Note these down as you examine yourself in Christ; how was your character when you took full responsibility of serving Christ and how is it now? Do you still serve God only on Sundays? How many times do you read and meditate  on the word? Do you understand the word  when you read it? How long are you able to pray now? Is your spirit sensitive enough to tell when something is wrong?  How many people have you spoken to about Christ? If you have not examined your growth, give it a try; it would help you appreciate your efforts and work on the areas you lack growth. 

  When you rent a room, how well or not you keep it portrays your character.  Whoever builds a house determines how it should be put up, when the person rents it out; whoever is handed the house or room either deteriorates it or maintains it.  God put His breath of life in man, the dust got a tenant. The breath of God or the Spirit of God would have maintained the body as that of God's  but Adam and Eve made a wrong choice and allowed sin into our bodies.  Now, the dust houses the Spirit of God and sin; that is our evil desires and choices. Whichever of these two you allow to dominate would determine  it's state. You decide which of the two can cater for you and maintain your body.  When you allow the Spirit of God to dominate you would have eternal life. I hope you make the right choice.

 If there was any subject I use to memorize without bothering to understand, it was French. The teachers were always strict and unfriendly in class. I only needed to memorize enough to write a test or exams and the rest of the notes were for records sake just incase the teachers inspected it. Why should we have a bible? Why should we read a bible and why should we memorize it? The bible is no ordinary book, it contains the words of the almighty God, the events of creation, the experiences some men shared with God and the revelation of the future.  We should have a bible because it is a guide from the creator of our world for our survival. We should read it because we need to know the one true God who made life possible for us. We should memorize it because the words are God Himself and they would keep us from sinning against Him. Some bible verses would communicate your feelings, some would strengthen you, others would aid you in decision making, others would help you battle your probl

It is easy for people to give up on you, people get tired. But has it ever occurred to you that God doesn't give up on you? Certainly not yesterday, not today and obviously not in future.The only time God would give up on you is when you die because after death there is no hope; that is when you have no salvation. So if God hasn't given up on you, why should you give up on yourself? If the One giving you breath has not ceased it, if the One providing your needs has not stopped it, why should you give up on yourself? If people give up on you, it is okay they also have their problems.If God hasn't said it, you don't need to give up on yourself.           There is a lot to be grateful for than complained about. Believe me, there is a lot to be grateful for than complained about. We all have life, I can breath and you can breath, you wake up and you can walk, but who are you going to complain to when you don't wake up? What if you woke up and saw your body lying there, What would you have done?  So you see, there is a lot to be grateful for. As long as you have life, as long as you can breath, as long as you can eat, as long as you can walk; there is so much to be grateful for.  If you can recall the things that has happened in your life, the things that could have led you to your death, the mistakes that have led others to their deaths; and today you are still alive, there certainly is a lot to be grateful for.   I love how African mothers worship God. They just give Him the attributes He deserves for you to know that there is a God capable of lots of things that is beyond our understanding.  I love how they call Him 'Twereduap)n',  you can rely on Him. If He is alive, we are alive,  and there is nothing our God can not do. What God can not do, does not exist. They said He is a capable God, they said He is all-knowing, they said He is Yaweh, Jehovah, Elohim, Almighty, Omnipresent, Omnipotent.  He is the God, the I Am that I Am. Nothing compares to Him.
