THANK YOU

Thank you. What have you done for me? What have I done for you? We've done things for each other as long as we communicate. Sincerely, I don't know everything so I can't always be right but you've listened to all I've said. If not for you, I wouldn't have come this far so my message for the day is "Thank You". I appreciate your reads, comments and advice to me. I may have given up a couple of times but your feedbacks gave me a reason to keep up. Thank you for being a friend, thank you for making time to read my posts, thank you for your feedbacks, thank you for your encouragement and thank you for not giving up on me. May God richly bless you and your family,  may He also make your life a miracle like He has made mine. Thank you.

TOMORROW

Have you watched any movie that featured a time machine? Were they able to cause a change in time? I would like to believe that time machines don't exist but in our current world, you could never tell; it's full of surprises. Has anyone being to the future? Do you know what is to happen tomorrow? If no, why bother? God is in tomorrow, he exists in time. If he grants you the passage to tomorrow, then he's got a plan for you. All you need to do is  believe in him, acknowledge him and trust him; things are sure to work out just fine.

MISTAKES

Everyone makes mistakes but why should people be tagged with it? You made a shallow mistake so nobody noticed it. Someone else made a disgraceful mistake and everyone noticed it. You learnt from your mistake but how would the person everyone is condemning learn from his or her mistake? That disgrace and condemnation becomes a nightmare which would hunt the person forever. Nobody is perfect, if you don't make disgraceful mistakes like others; don't prevent them from learning from it. They can change after they learn from it.

A RESPONSIBILITY

As a child you are guided by the elderly, as you grow up, you learn to guide yourself and when you are aged; you get to enjoy the fruits of your labour. One thing about life is that when you don't lead a fruitful life in your youthful age, you tend to live with the regrets in your old age. As a child, you are told what to do, sometimes you refuse it and get hurt but you get to bounce back and start afresh. The youthful stage of life requires a lot, you need to build a life as you learn from your mistakes, but if you don't make much out of that stage, then your  old age becomes miserable. In your old age, you should be enjoying the fruits of your labour but you end up mourning the bad life you lived because you didn't pay attention to your responsibilities. Living is a responsibility which should be fulfilled well.

WE OWN NOTHING

Can humanity boast of owning anything in this world? Air, water, food, meat, shelter, etc all of these existed. All the things we've created are sourced from nature so literally we own nothing. We came with nothing and shall leave with nothing. The few things I believe we own are love, joy, peace, etc. Our feelings are what we can  call ours but thanks to other feelings we destroy each other. Out of hate, we ruin people's reputation, out jealousy we work against each other and out of greed we bear false witness against others. If there's anything we can rely on, it's each other but what do we see? Men hunting men! All for the sake of things we do not own. God has given all we can ever need at no cost, you could do the same by helping others.

ACTIONS SPEAK BETTER THAN WORDS

Actions speak better than words. What do you think? Is it true or it's just one of the many sayings we have? Can you tell of a person's religion from his or her actions? You could in the past but currently, I doubt. What makes you a Christian? Can someone see Christ through you? You won't always get the opportunity to talk to people about your God, this is when your actions should speak better. You may not have the opportunity to influence someone with your words, this is when you actions should perform that role. I'm not saying that try to please people with your actions but your actions should reflect the God you serve.

WHO DO YOU SAY HE IS?

Who do you say he is. For me, he's not just a God who performs miracles; he a father. Do you know the man you serve? What word would you use to describe him. How well do you know your parents? Very well, I would say. They gave birth to you and you lived with them so that's enough for you to know them well, but how about the man who made your life possible? Do you know him from what your pastor said? Or Is it what you read about him? You know your parents because of your experience with them so your knowledge of God should also be based on your experience with him. You can testify about God even better when you have an experience with him. Get to know him, it makes living quite easier.

BELIEVE

I believe you. That's a strong statement, it's not easy for someone to believe you but when someone does, it assures you of the person's  loyalty. Sometimes for a bank to grant a loan, the client who has requested for it would have to be a loyal client they believe would repay the money. As long as they believe you, you are good to go. In John 3:16, the bible says "For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." The guarantee is to believe in him, God doesn't ask of your past records, neither does he need someone to assure him of your loyalty. He says believe and you shall have eternal life. That's the easiest decision you can ever take; believe in him and you  would have eternal life where death has no power and pain is no more.

BEHIND THE SCENE

The tedious works in movies are done behind the scenes. Isn't it fun to watch movies? The adventure, the luxurious lives, the power, the popular lives, etc. Sometimes we wish to be like the characters we see in movies, they seem so perfect and flawless but they attain such perfections after numerous practice behind the scenes. I know someone who also works behind the scene. Have you seen God fighting in reality before? Have you seen God pouring blessings on people before? How about him growing trees? It's obvious that he works behind scenes. The things that you acknowledge God for are the little things he does. So the next you feel like losing faith in God, imagine God working behind the scene.

YOUR NAME

Can you locate a person with just the name?  With technology it can be easy to locate a person; that's if the person's data has been recorded. It may take time since some of the data may be outdated or the data provided was false; relying on them could be misleading. Basically to find someone, you need information about the person and you would also need some form of assistance from other people. Sometimes I wonder how God works. How does he see every living soul on earth? Is he really looking at all of us? It's obvious that God doesn't need a record or some assistance from other people to find you, he knows you inside out, he knew you before you were even born. He sees us all from where he sits. As much as assistance is required to find someone, God knows you by name and that's enough for him to find you in this world.

DREAMS

There's a need to communicate. In a family, among friends, workers, colleagues, couples, etc. Modern technology is aimed at making communication easier and faster, why? It's very essential to our very existence. We communicate through phone calls, texts, body languages, gestures, etc. We communicate to share news with others, to find out how others are faring, and sometimes to warn others of an impending disaster.  Why do you think we dream? It's also a form of communication so it's vital. As much as you are willing to update yourself of the status of the world and the people around you, there's also a need to dream. Dreaming is one of God's many ways of talking to man. He warns you of danger, assures you that He's with you and sometimes reveals the plans he has for you. Your phone is the easiest way to communicate with others but if you lose it, you would be disconnected from your loved ones. If dreaming is God's phone call to you and you haven't be

THE PRESENT

What happened yesterday? What didn't go as planned? What would you like to change about yesterday? If there's a lot, that's okay. Read this out loud, yesterday is not ours to save but tomorrow is ours to win or lose. So yesterday is gone, it's part of the past now so move on. Today or tomorrow is the only chance that you have, don't make the same mistakes. You could make plans, it might not turn out as planned but it's best to make new memories. You can only make a change today or tomorrow not yesterday

A WORTHY LIFE

Don't take life for granted. Life is breath, right? As long as you have breath you have life. Today you have it and tomorrow you don't. You don't need to believe in the existence of bad spirits or people before they can harm you. If you aren't causing harm to yourself, somebody else would try. Don't take things for granted, the same things that you do, that doesn't harm you; causes the death of others. You may have so many chances to make things right but that would not always be the case. Please don't take things for granted, live every second like it is the last.

Love, not Luck

I'm not lucky, I'm loved. Good luck! You hear that whenever you have something important that requires your efforts. Good luck on your new job, good luck in your exams, good luck in your interview, good luck on your date, good luck in your competition, etc. What do people really mean when they say that? Good luck is a well wish, it's okay to wish someone well but let's face reality; does luck really exist? Am I alive because I'm lucky? Am I surviving my trails because of luck? I doubt. As you wish people well, pray for them so that they survive on God's love and not luck. x

BRAGGING

Bragging is boasting with excessive pride about what one has, is able to do, or has done; often as an attempt to popularize oneself. What do you have? Money, cars, beauty, power, fame, etc. It's natural for people to boast of things they have, currently fetish priest have shows on TV, where they boast of the material wealth they can give. People in power boast of it and only humble themselves when their time is due. How long can these things last? Material wealth can be lost within a twinkle of an eye. Work for money and Live a good life but don't brag about your wealth; for nothing lasts for long.

BRAGGING

Everybody is good at something. I'm good at writing, you may be good at singing, dancing, cooking, talking, dressing, relating to others, influencing people, etc. How long can you do these things? Can it last for a day? You certainly can't do one thing throughout the day but you may be better than someone and that doesn't mean you should brag about it. What can't God do? He has commanded a storm, parted a way in the red sea, awoken the dead, caused food to fall from the sky, healed the sick, filled the lands with rich minerals, and yet he has never bragged. Be you, don't compare yourself to others, believe in yourself but don't brag.

GIVING

Psychologists have found that the act of giving can produce satisfaction, which comes when the giver sees the recipient's gratitude. Some experts even believe that humans are wired to be generous. We all know the hard truth; not everyone can cater for themselves. Nobody wishes to be poor but not everyone is rich and there are many reasons why that is so. Some people don't need money, they need people to encourage them, someone to spare time and listen to them. You can't provide the needs of everyone but try your best to do the little you can. Your help to others; be it money, provisions, time, encouragement, etc.  would go a long way to better someone's life and you are sure to receive the reward in many folds.

REFUGE

Gone are the days when you could run to the church for safety. During Moses' time, there was the ruling of an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. If a person was guilty of a crime and he or she runs to the house of God for refuge , the person was safe from his pursuers. What of now? Can you run to the church for refuge? What of the courthouse? How about the palace? Or the police station. As sad as it may seem, there's hardly any safe place to call a refuge. The safest place that can be your refuge is in your closet, behind your closed doors; when you are on your knees praying to God.
