WORDS OF HOPE

A refugee camp is a temporary facility built to provide immediate protection and assistance to people forced to flee from their countries. Refugees survive on little food and water available to them. As stated earlier, it is a temporary place, you can't rely on it forever. God is a refuge, we can rely on him for our safety and assistance. Is there any god you can run to for your safety? Can any god be a permanent refuge? Can any refuge camp provide all your needs including life? It's a big No, we can only find refuge in God; He is a permanent well-furnished facility.

There are some things I read in the bible that marvel me.....the bible holds a lot of secrets. The dictionary is a valuable handbook I must say. It's beautified  with numerous words and they are renewed frequently since words fade. Taking fading words into consideration, some meaning of words change over time whiles others get additional meanings. The bible has been there for over two thousand years although there has been many modifications the storyline is still relevant. It's a life guide that everyone needs, it has buried treasures and embedded meanings which are worth reading. 

 Growing up, I thought education ended in Class six. That thought filled my heart with joy; no more learning, assignments, unannounced tests, punishments, etc. Life was going to be fun and filled with no stress. At that young age, I felt learning was a burden but now I know that learning is of more relevance. Learning has become the norm of the day, it's not about sitting in a classroom and listening to a teacher or lecturer; you can learn anywhere and from anyone. Broaden your scope today, it may be of benefit tomorrow. 

 Some people make it early in life but fall back to square one, what's the cause of that?  Life is not a race but some people arrive at their destination earlier than others, it's rather unfortunate that out of this group some  fall and have to begin all over again. Some falls are fueled by mistakes, backbiting of friends, betrayal, pride, arrogance and lack of God's presence in one's life, etc. If you are still in this journey, try not to fall victim to these traps because it's not easy to get back up.

 Some lifestyles are expensive, you may not be able to afford it but you desire it so what do you do? You borrow or pretend. Most of the things we desire are not our priorities but we sacrifice our future pleasures for our present pleasures. I'm not saying don't make yourself happy, do things that please you but they should be affordable for you. If you can't afford it, don't kill yourself for it. Separate your needs from your want, live simple and good.

 One mosquito bite might not get you infected with malaria but a lot of them would . Leaving your issues with people would one day ruin u. If you always run to people with your issues ;it's more like selling so one day they would also sell it to other people. Telling one person about your problem may not be a bad idea but telling everybody about it marks the beginning of your doom. Don't advertise your life,remember that there are sellers everywhere . 

You get support with whatever you put your mind to.  You can decide to be a criminal, someone would be there to cheer you on. You can decide to do a prominent job, there would be supporters; whether good or bad you would get supports. Now, who are you blaming for the wrongs things you are doing?  Maybe for now the wrong things you are doing seem right, you don't have a choice right? How about later? If it's helpful today but harmful tomorrow, think twice. 

 Everytime I watch the "Passion of Jesus Christ" I feel extremely sad. The journey to His death was crucial, what was His crime? Everything that He went through had a purpose so I can't complain. The actor of "Passion of Jesus Christ" kind of had his share of the suffering. Jim Caviezel played the role of Jesus Christ in 2004. We all know that movie drama isn't real but the actors do encounter their own problems. According to some articles I've read, Jim Caviezel had to endure accidental lashings, a dislocated shoulder, pneumonia, a lung infection, persistent migraines, and got struck by lightning three times. That's a lot for one actor, right; this proves that "Passion of Jesus Christ" is no ordinary story; think about it.

 Foretold There are a lot of happenings today that were told two thousand years ago. Poverty, inhuman activities, countries rising against each other, crisis, sufferings,etc. All these are geared toward the end of the world. What else was foretold? Israelites going into slavery, Joseph's rule in Egypt,  The birth of John the baptist, the birth of Jesus Christ the Messiah, etc. Everything that was told did happen so why doubt the coming of Christ, judgement and eternal life in heaven or hell. There isn't much time so get saved today.

 Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful; it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoice in the right. Love bears all things, believes all  things, hope all things, endures all things (1 Corinthians 13:4-7).

 Perfection comes with years of hard work, trails, mistakes, set backs, dedication and discipline.  There are some people who are perfect in what they do, it doesn't mean that they don't make mistakes. The road to perfection in anything is not easy but it's easy for you to give up. Some artists deliver master pieces, do you know how long it took for them to get there?. Some photographers take breath taking pictures, it didn't take a day of practise. There shouldn't be any  room for doubt, you can perfect the work you do if you really want to achieve it. 

 Who do you see in a mirror? What do you see in a mirror? Do you see the past, the present or the future? What do you seek in a mirror? Your outlook or progress? Mirror says a lot, you see what you wish to see. A life well lived, a difficult life, happy life, a sad life, etc. It's life, lived by you; things may not have gone as you wish, along the way you might have been broken but as long as you can still see your reflection in the mirror; you can have a better life if you put your mind to it.
