A CHANGE OF HEART

Between good and bad people, the fore die earlier than the latter. Why is God allowing that to happen? It's because God wants a change of heart. The Bible states that heaven rejoices over a born again; it means that every soul on earth matters to God. God would gladly take away a person with a good heart than watch the person change; that's why good men are taken quite earlier. As for bad men, they would live longer; that's the chance God is giving to them for them to have a change of heart. The lesson is this, don't be vulnerable in Christ; if you die without knowing Christ; those who caused your death would have the chance to have a change of heart.

COME PREPARED

What is your preparation when you are going out on a rainy day? How about when going out to make a purchase? Most people carry a rain coat or umbrella on rainy days whiled others don't. I  for one carry extra money when stepping out to make a purchase. Do you make preparations a day before an important event? Are you making preparations for your future? How about the coming of the Lord? It seems like forever since He said He would come but if He comes; how prepared are you?

A REMINDER

With life routines shaping us, we tend to forget some petty things and, that's why a reminder is needed. Calendars have reminders so it's easy to be reminded of special days in the year. Do we need a reminder of God's goodness? Certainly! We tend to get carried away by life's routines and forget God's existence. As a reminder of God's goodness, remember you got life, without it none of the world pleasures would have mattered to you. There's still oxygen in the atmosphere. The sun still shines otherwise we would have frozen to death. Water beds are full, plants are growing and bearing fruits. Lastly, we still have him as our God. He loves us and that's a reminder to hold unto.

WELL PLEASED

Are you pleased easily? With what? Some people enjoy pleasing others, why? Benefits, I suppose. Have you ever pleased anyone? Sometimes we please people for good reasons and other times we please for bad reasons. Some women please men with their dressing whiles men do it with their brags; for so many reasons. Have you ever thought of pleasing God? Do you know how? Well, the bible says that without faith you can't please God. Do you love God? Do you want to please Him? Well, just have faith in Him and acknowledge Him always and He would give you all you can ever need and even eternal salvation.

TRADITIONAL EFFECT

Before Christianity was introduced to the African society, there existed traditional religion. I don't know much from then, but I think our ancestors had a way of protecting themselves. They believed in smaller gods, right? They must have committed their families into their hands, that could mean that all they did for the well being of their families would have a lifetime effect on whoever falls under those families. In a nut shell, there could be a family curse or covenant. If you come out of such a family, you would have to break free from that bondage if you wanna make a difference. So you see, the problem is not always from you; it could be a generational problem which is manifesting in every family member's life. You can break free if you seek God's intervention; after all whoever seeks, finds.

PERSONAL ISSUES

Sometimes we judge God based on the plights we see others go through. How many mad men and women do you see on the streets? How many blind people do you see begging in traffic daily? How many physically challenged people live in your neighborhood? Have you ever thought that God has been unfair to some people? Doesn't God love them? Why does God allow misfortunes to happen to people? First of all, I don't have the answers to these questions but I know for a fact that everyone has his own experience with God. How would you know the relationship between others and God? You have the right to view God as you want; that's between you and Him but it's certainly not right to judge God based on other's plights. Please serve your God and allow others to do as well.

WARFARE

I wonder what rushes through the minds of soldiers on the battle field. Do they think of the possibility of surviving? What motivates them to keep fighting? I don't know what soldiers are told before they get to the battle field but it certainly gets them sacrificing their lives. When we pray to God, it's a conversation but when we pray against our enemies it's a warfare. I know for a fact that if your enemies wage war against you, you have to retaliate with prayer. On the battle field, you either win or lose so till you win; don't stop praying. If soldiers can sacrifice their lives for their states then you can sacrifice your time for prayers.

HELP

To what extent can a man help you? How far can a man's help take you? The new norm of the day is to know someone in a higher position. Why? That could be your protocol to greater heights. How many people in higher positions do you know? How many of them are willing to offer help at no cost? Man would and can help you, through someone you can make it big in life or get through life easily but is that always the case? During the lockdown in the country,  how many foods were distributed daily? Weren't the rich people still around? And yet many people complained of hunger. So you see, people would always be around but their help has a limit. Only God's help is limitless.

TECHNOLOGIES

What was the initial purpose for the introduction of technology? Obviously to make life simple and easy. How about now? Is technology making life simple and easy. I think it's yes and no.  Technology still makes life simple and easy but it has aided in the destruction of life. 100% of destructions across the world are caused with technology. Everyone was made for good intentions but you own the choice to be good or bad. You can decide to be good or bad, it all depends on you. So you see, you can be bad without anyone's influence and you can  also be good without anyone's influence. Its all boils down to your choice.

LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAP

it's advisable to look both ways before crossing the road and it's also advisable to look before you leap. Are these advises helpful. Yes! Unless you don't plan to live long. To look before you leap means to consider the consequences of an action before acting.  Most of the time we leap before looking, that's a dangerous mistake. Whiles in the mess we realise it but repeat the same attitude the next time. Considering the consequences of an action before taking them saves time, it also saves you the stress of starting all over. Some mistakes we make as a result of this may not pose danger to us but it wastes precious time and wastes resources. Whenever an opportunity presents itself, make sure to look before leaping.

OPENED WINDOWS

In the courtroom, you ain't guilty until proven so. One thing required to prove someone's innocence is evidence. With this same evidence another can be convicted. You can be convicted for the things you say and do against the laws of a country. Based on the sins you commit, someone can use that as a ground to work against you.  Sins  open windows through which spiritual attacks can prevail but you won't know because you can't see it. Sometimes, things won't go well not because you ain't trying your best; but because you've opened many windows. One thing is a fact in our not so normal world, if you open windows to evil spirits they would make your life miserable.

COMPASSIONATE GOD

Compassion is a deep awareness of the sufferings of another, coupled with the wish to relieve the person. "The compassionate God" is one of the many attributes of our God. Doesn't God see our sufferings? What is He doing about it? Is He just watching us go to waste? He has all the power to make things well so why isn't He? I would like to ask God these questions but then I see the bible and remain silent. How many times has God shown compassion to people? He healed, feed, loved and taught us the right way to live after Him because He knew the world is a cruel place. I don't know what else God can do to prove His compassion for humanity.  On the cross He wept, we were lost but amidst the pain He knew we were worth it. His way of relieving us was the sacrifice on the cross; that's compassion.

BEHIND CLOSED DOORS

Life is when you get behind your closed door. Everyone has a life, it's encircled by friends, family and the hustles of  life. When do you make decisions for your life? Where do you make decisions for your life? The answer is simply behind closed doors. When you are all alone that's when your mind gets flooded with the events of your day. The questions starts spiking you and fatigue sets in; that moment you decide to go on or give up. Could the next day be any better? Would the troubles ever end? Would you ever have a peace of mind? Believe me, the only One that can keep you on your feet behind  closed doors is God. When you can't hold back those tears, when your mistakes hunt you and when  people's promises to you remain unfulfilled; God can help. He can be the shoulder for your tears and the rock for your weak knees. When no one is within reach; God is there, just a call away.

EVIDENCE

Do you know that people hold records of your actions in life. We all may have heard of judgement day; a day when we would wait on the Lord to account for our lives on earth. Before that even happens people would judge you. Some people would judge you based on evidence, where would they get that? From you! Everything you do is an evidence of your existence and people would bear witness. At every point in time someone would capture something of you, if not for a bad purpose; for a good purpose. People would condemn you with the bad evidence and others would rescue you with the good  evidence you present. You don't have to please people with your life but you know what's right from wrong, please remember that you would account for each evidence you provide.

LOVE AND SACRIFICES

What's the definition of love now? What does it mean to love someone? Is the word enough or does one need to prove it? What can you do for someone you love? Its seems like the word "love" doesn't holds water any longer, what's your reason? If there is one word that can describe love, it's "sacrifice'. Love is about making sacrifices, yes sacrifices! Putting their interests first, giving ear to them, helping them when the need arises. Guiding them and allowing them to guide you. Being there for them, simply put; treat your love like you would treat yourself.  If we follow this trend, love would be genuine.

WHO IS TO BLAME?

We all make mistakes but sometimes it's hard to accept the blame. We all know that no one is perfect but we can't seem to take the blame for our actions. I arrived late at work, I know very well that I woke up late and yet I put the blame on the traffic jam. I couldn't submit my assignment on time, obviously I started it quite late but I blame the lecturer for giving me a difficult assignment. I was also late for church because I didn't make preparations for it. I don't seem to get along with people, they are to blame not me! The list goes on and on. Literally when you are not responsible for something then you won't learn to correct it. If you keep on making the same mistakes, it's because you haven't taken the blame hence you can't learn from it. For starters, let's take the blame for our mistakes and correct them.
