A SYMBOL

The symbol of Christianity is a cross not a crown.   Every country has a flag, with colours that tell stories of the toils of it's people. Every school has a crest, designed with symbols they believe represent the values of the school. How about Christianity? Do we need a flag or a crest? Maybe or maybe not. Christianity is not just a fellowship, it's a family and our symbol is the cross. Why the cross? Why not a crown, since our God is a king? Why not any other thing you can think of? I'll tell you why, what do Christians hold dearly? What gives them hope? What event made a difference from other families? The death of Christ! Yes Jesus Christ's death, it may have been an inhuman experience but it saved us, breaking the boundary between man and God. Now that we know one of our symbols, let's value the sacrifice Jesus Christ made for us and look up to Him at all times.

THOUGHTS

Can you read someone's mind? Can you tell if a person is telling the truth or a lie?  Unlike a pawpaw, the brain can't be opened up to expose the intentions of a person. Imagine if one's thought could pop up like a notification from an app. It would have been good and bad. Why? I'll tell you. With your thoughts popping up like a notification, you can't keep anything of yours safe. If you think of your wealth, others would get to know of it and might harm you just so they get their hands on it. Now if you think of something bad, then others would know and take the necessary actions. In reality we can't read each other's mind but does that mean that we should wish others bad? Certainly not! Nobody can read your mind but it's best if yours is pure.

THORNS AND ROSES

I use to wonder why life is so cruel but now I don't. I've realised that,  like a rose flower; life comes with thorns. These thorns can be removed but one is sure to be pricked. What can we do when we go through troubles? We can either endure and have hope or give up. Giving up ends it all but having hope for a betterment is enough. I'm only saying that life can't be without pain, the reason? I have no idea but if you can endure and have hope, I'm sure we would get through it together.

FIERCE AND GENTLE

As Gentle as a still wind and as fierce as a lion. Huge men can easily be presented as fierce warriors in movies, they can cause so much damage and  put fear into others. Some of these huge men can also act as loving and gentle fathers who would sacrifice their lives for their family. The Rock is one of those men who can act as a fierce warrior in one movie and a loving father in another, I ask; how can one man possess such two opposite characters? Is it possible in reality? Can one man be as fierce as a lion and as gentle as a still wind? You tell me. I know one man who's anger can bring the world to an end and yet his gentility led his son to the cross to be crucified. I prefer to experience God's love and have him devour whoever wants my  downfall than depend on luck. I've realised that I can't survive in this world without Him so I'll serve him. How about you?

SHARING

Can I inherit your love ? How about your happiness? Can I inherit your strong will? How about your courage? Aside material wealth, can we inherit anything from each other? I doubt we can but we can share with each other so I'm sharing my experience with you. God, that man whose actions still amazes me is the reason why I'm a miracle. He's the reason why I can't give up, the reason why each time a tear drops from my eye; I have hope. He's the reason why my weaknesses don't discourage me. He's the reason why I smile after a breakdown. He's the reason why I sleep through my fears, He's the faith I'm rooted to and He's the love that won't let me go. God, him! I would like to share my love, hope, faith, happiness, joy, peace, everything good that has overcome the painful experiences I've been through. I would like to share God with you, please take him also.

GOOGLE

Have you ever read something on Google and doubted it? Google seems to have an answer to every question because day in and day out, people feed it with things. How many times do you ask google questions? Are the answers always helpful? Do you find positive and negative answers? Google holds the answer to many questions but when it comes  to it's reliability, it's between you and the answers you find there. One book you can also google for answers is the bible, it holds power and is reliable. It can keep you pure(Psalm 119:9,11). It blesses you(Luke 11:28). It makes you wise (Matthew 7:24). It gives light and understanding (Psalm 119:130). It also helps you grow spiritually(1 Peter 2:2). Google is a large platform but the bible is even bigger, it holds an account of the beginning of earth to it's end. It holds the keys to the mysterious of this world and you can trust it. If anything concerning God baffles you, google through the bible and you are sure to come across helpfu

LET'S CHAT

How long can you stay without the internet? A day? A week? A month? I won't even ask about a year because it's obvious that we can't. What's the first thing you look for when you wake up? What do you yearn for within the day? The hottest gossip in town? Our generation is internet oriented, our eyes are always stuck to our screens and our ears are itchy for trending issues; whether good or bad. Our relationship with the internet has  grown so strong that we have become inseparable and we end up replacing our family with them. We've put the internet to bad use, we shame those who can't reach the standards we have set. We have also forced others to ruin their lives and are encouraging others to be phony. The internet is meant to enhance a good relationship with the rest of the world and not replace those close to us. It's good to make use of the internet but it shouldn't be an addiction.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

Why can't we live in total freedom? Why should there be restrictions? Why can't I play music so loud? I bought the car so why should there be a speed limit? Why isn't there absolute freedom of speech? I pay for hospital bills so why can't I do whatever I want there? Why should I protect state properties? Why are there rules and regulations? If rights had no limit then we would infringe on each other's, that could lead to lawlessness and disorder. Rules are created for our very own good. God gave the Israelites His commandments, they needed to be guided. Even after receiving the commandments, they continued to sin against Him. Those people didn't make it to the promise land as their punishment. What may be right for you may be wrong for another and we may not be able to agree on one thing so it's best if we have rules which requires us to obey them. Every broken rule has it's consequence which could affect others, breaking the commandments could also affe

LIMITLESS

Everything has a limit. The food you can eat, the water you can drink, your movements, etc. These are personal limits, how about public limits? The speed you can drive, the routes you can use, the place you can park, etc. How about people with authority? Can a president travel anytime he wants? Can an autocratic ruler extend his rule to the rest of the world? Basically, no matter who you are, you have a limit to everything you can do, including protecting yourself. God has no limits, as big as the world is; He can see us all. As many as we are, He can help us all. Note that the creation has limits but the creator is limitless, there's nothing he can't do.

LOVE ONE ANOTHER

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. John 13:34. Gone are the days when you could identify the tribes of people from their outfit,  recently you can hardly tell at all. We use to have things that could differentiate one tribe from another, it was one of the best ways to depict our rich culture. Before Jesus Christ departed from earth he commanded us to love one another so that other men would know that we are his disciples. Jesus saw the need to create a recognisable family, one that is rooted in His love so that others can join and also become his disciples. For us to be able to win souls, we, as God's disciples need to love one another and be united.

PARENTING

Parents nurture children as they grow up. Parents guide their children's steps and help them up when they fall. That's their responsibility, some do it out of love whiles others do it out of obligation. When a parent witness a child hurt himself, he tends to harbour fear and wouldn't want his or her child to undergo such situation again. God  also nurtures us, He guides us and helps us get back on our feet when we fall. God doesn't delight in our pain, it breaks his heart but He doesn't harbour fear. Parents are only more experienced than children so they also turn to God in times of trouble. Parents would try their best to keep you safe but we can all rely on God to be safer.

SOLID FOUNDATION

What's the essence of a foundation in building? Why should a lot be invested into it? The foundation of every building holds it firmly and prevents it from shaking. Everyone also has a foundation, it could be the training you received from your parents when you were growing up. It could also be our very lives. If your parents trained you well, that forms a solid foundation which guides you for the rest of your life. There's a possibility of your foundation getting weaker, if you associate yourself with bad company. Since we are God's creation, it's required of us to serve him, if you do; He becomes the strong foundation which can never be shaken. If you depend on man and yourself, your foundation is sure to be shaken when the storms of life get tough. But if God is your foundation,  you certainly have no problem; after all He commands storms to quiet down.
