WORDS OF HOPE

 When there's going to be an examination, students can be fortunate enough to have their teachers show them the topics they should read. As a student, you can decide to read the said topic and more, or not follow the teacher's advise.   Proverbs 3:5 says to trust in the Lord with all our heart and not lean on our own understanding. This text can be compared to the topic that a teacher would give to his students for his or her exams. The difference between these two teachers is that man can have a change of mindset but not God. The teacher can decide to include more topics or even present a different set of topics but God's words would always stand. God's words never change. Now it's up to you the student of life, to decide to obey God's text or not.

 Jesus Christ was raised up by God but before we even consider that, the Bible says it was impossible for death to keep it's hold on Jesus. It was impossible! Death had no power over Jesus, even though He was in it's domain, it had no power over him! First of all, why did Jesus Christ have to die? Wasn't it for our sake? Even after carrying the world's sin, death couldn't keep it's hold on Jesus, then it should also be impossible for it to keep it's hold on you. With that in mind, it's obvious that we shouldn't endure any spiritual bondage. We can break free if we understand that it has no power over us and call to God to help us break free. 

 What you are not told is that being born again is not a bed of roses. So once we were all born into sin but under grace we have the opportunity to become born again. Being born again is the acceptance of Christ Jesus as your Lord and personal saviour and believing in him. The initial stage of being born again is quite a lovely experience but later comes the attacks and troubles. The sinful part of you didn't die, allow me to remind you. It comes back to hunt you, entice you to go back to your old sinful ways. That is the most difficult part of the christian journey. Unfortunately that stage would last very long, it would drain all the energy in you but if you are able to stand your ground, then you would grow stronger in God. This process is going to be frequent throughout your christian journey but each time you survive it, you are bound to grow stronger and you would be rewarded. 

 Have you ever searched for a lost item before? Was it stressful? How valuable was the thing you lost? We all misplace things once in a while but the tendency to even remember it and look for it depends on how valuable the thing is. If it's worthy then it has to be found no matter how long it takes. It is written in Luke 19:10 that 'The son of man came to seek and to save the lost'. Christ came to seek and save the lost, why would Jesus Christ be interested in the lost? It's because the lost is valuable to him. He doesn't just care for the saints, he cares for we that have fallen into sin. All I can say is that we are all valuable to God, he is still seeking and saving the lost so don't be left out.

 Lions are carnivores but did you know that they sometimes munch on grass? Lions hunt, kill and feed on their prey. It's a daily routine. If lions are flesh lovers, why would they feed on grass? Lions may eat  grass if they have an upset stomach. Eating grass causes irritation to their stomach which in turn causes them to vomit. Just like lions have a routine of hunting, It's easy for us to rely on people day in and day out, we work hand in hand so it's only normal that we go to others when we need help. People may not always offer the help we need, this is where we should ask God to assist us. God would certainly use other people to help you so try praying when people fail you. When God grants you favour, no one can withstand it. 

 Every university is built to suit a purpose. If it majors in the  science field, it would be built to cater for the needs of science students. If it is purposed for law, it would be quipped with the necessary requirements to facilitate  sound studies. And if it is for creative arts, it is sure to have the necessities of the field.  The university authorities can never tell a morally good or bad student from the names they receive so they just admit those they have to. The intent of the authorities is to admit students not armed robbers or law breakers but they normally mix with the crowd. God intended the world to be a perfect place to live but why is the world a horrible place now? It's the people who dwell in it! We made the world cruel! The damage can be reversed if we the people change. 

 I've heard different stories concerning the after life. Some say that after death, there's a new world in which the deceased goes to start a new life. Others say that the period after death is a waiting one, towards judgement day. Some even say that death is the final stage of a man's existence. Which ever be the case, we would never know till we die. And when we die, those living would also not know so it's best if we all prepare ourselves for whatever awaits us. It's best to serve God when alive and find out that He doesn't exists when you die, than to die without serving him and find out that God exists. 

 Thunder is caused by lightning. When a lightning bolt travels from the cloud to the ground ;it actually opens a little hole in the air, called a Chanel. Once the light is gone, the air collapses back in and creates a sound wave that is heard as thunder. So that's a theory propounded  by someone. How can u see a hole in the air? We all know that rain falls when clouds get heavy so I ask,why doesn't it just fall at once?  There are so many things in our world that you can't understand but you believe  in it  and it seems right. The bottom line is that nothing in this hanging globe is impossible.... All it takes, is to believe. 

 At the end of every blessed day, I try to analyse  it. How did the day go? Was is fruitful? Did I achieve anything?  Did I loose or gained more of what I started the day with? Have I grown stronger or weaker? Not everyone has the opportunity to live life to the fullest so make every day count and don't give up till your last breath. Our creator provides. 

You can make it big. It's possible to be successful and live your dream of a luxurious and peaceful life but on your way there, you need people's help. Can you leave alone in a vicinity? You wouldn't see anyone and you wouldn't talk to anyone. Can you survive without contact with anyone? If you can well, that won't be the same on the ladder to success. With this in mind, there is a need to be grateful to anyone you meet. It's either you offer  help to someone or receive some from another. Be grateful for everything, even the little things you receive. It's not compulsory for anyone to help you so when someone avails himself or herself for God to use them for your benefit; show some gratitude.

 I've heard of a proverb that says_ "The closest chick to a hen gets the thigh of a grasshopper. Chicks are curious, they would nimble on anything they find. They sometimes wonder a bit far from their mother, it normally takes the cluck of their mothers to bring them back. The chicks who normally feed beside their mothers get their reward from the food they find. The relationship between God and Christians can be likened to that a of a hen and a chick. God takes care of his children, those who stay close to him enjoy the privilege of His goodness but what about those who wonder off? Does God  also care for them? He surely does. God also draws His wandered kids' attention to Him, He either sends someone to you, speak to you through dreams, or allow you to face the consequence of your actions, just so you run back to him  It's His way of ensuring our wellbeing. Please do well to stay closer to God because He's a good guardian.

 Our bad experiences are what ruins us. Normally things we remember easily, are our mistakes and misfortunes, and that hinders our progress. The easiest memory to call to mind is your misfortune; the pain you went through, the loved one you lost, the tears someone made you share. That's just not healthy, you may not  be able to forget your troubles but you need to remember the good memories at all times because that's what's healthy. After  all, the good memories are what keeps your faith strong. 

 A tree gives shelter to some animals and food to others, that makes it resourceful to them but what happens when the tree falls? A fallen tree is not wasteful, it can still provide food to other animals and even serve as a nutrient ground for other trees to grow. God made everything in the forest resourceful, how about man? Did God make us resourceful? Can we be useful even in our deaths? Yes we can. If you impact someone with your life then it could be possible. Also if you fulfilled your purpose on earth, then death would only be a resting period for you and your life would have  impacted others.

 Be mindful of what you say at all times, be mindful of what you do at all times and be mindful of what you take at all times. Naturally people have sharp eyes and ears for evil, if you utter something evil, someone is sure to use it against you some time to come. If you do something evil, people won't forget it no matter how repented you are. If you make a mess of your body, remember that it is an open window for evil to work against you. Time flies and the  past can be forgotten but remember that whatever bad thing you do today would hunt you tomorrow so be on the safer side by avoiding them.

Hope is just like drops of water, it may seem like forever is what it would take to be full but at the end,it would get there. As harmless as water may look,nothing can stop it during destruction. That's  how hope is, it's really strong and nothing should stand in it's way. Have hope that all is well and forget about all your worries.  BE HAPPY

 You say what you believe and you are sure to become what u say. You can easily identify an animal by the sound it makes but what if an animal makes the wrong sound? If a dog clucks like  a chicken, what would be your reaction? A lion roars but if it purrs like a cat, what would be your reaction? Basically you are what you say. A lion roars, naturally it knows that it's a hunter and can never feed on another animal's leftover no matter how hungry it is. As people, we also speak what we believe in, so how can you say you are a failure? Is that what you believe in? Is that what you wish to become? I doubt! So how about you start believing in yourself and say good things about yourself so that you become a great person.
