BOXING DAY

Traditionally, boxing day was a holiday for servants they received  Christmas boxes from their masters. They usually had the day off so they joined their families and also offered them gifts.

 The first gift was given in a form of a baby. This baby is the only baby whose birth is celebrated globally; this is because of the significance of His birth. 

 Babies bring joy to parents, after nine or more months, there is delivery which is a relief to mothers. Jesus Christ was gifted to us as a sign of hope to the sinful world. He came to reconcile man and God and His purpose was fulfilled.

His birth was anticipated as it had been prophesied by prophets, are you expecting any gift this Christmas? Is someone expecting a gift from you? If yes! Then that's good because gifts are acts of love and receiving it means you have loved ones.

As we continue to celebrate Christmas, please remember the first gift given to us from God our father and maker who loves us genuinely.

WHY WORRY

Inspiration from the following bible verses John 14:1 "Do not be worried and upset," Believe" in God and believe also in me. John 14:27 "Peace is what I leave with you; it is my own peace that I give you. I do not give it as the world does. Do not be worried and upset; do not be afraid. John 16: "I have told you this so that you will have peace by being united to me. The world will make you suffer. But be brave! I have defeated the world!" Why worry? It looks like the easiest thing to do when there is no solution. Why not worry? It doesn't solve the problem.I use to worry about everything. From my body to other people's problems. It just seemed natural to me, I felt worrying only meant that I cared a lot. I worried about things I had no control over and that was very stressful.Worrying doesn't just drain you of your energy, it brings about fear and panic and deprives you of peace.Is worrying a solution? No! Does worrying provide a solution?

GENESIS 18: 1-15 The Three Visitor she LORD appeared unto Abraham. After reading, kindly note these;He was at the right place. He was sensitive. He was generous,He was favoured in the sight of the visitors He had faith. Abraham was sensitive enough to know who they were, (3 in number) he offered them water to wash their feet, a place of rest and food.
