DIFFERENT UNDERSTANDING

 We all have different levels of understanding, do you agree? What may sink in easily for you may not sink in at all with others. What you make out of what you read, may be completely different from others however we all have a tissue in our skull called a brain. 

"The bible is like any other story book". This is the opinion of those who lack understanding. They see it as a recount of dead people whose stories made a difference however in my opinion you need more than a reading ability to appreciate the bible.  

The bible contains words of God. The creator of the world. John 1:1 says, " In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God and the word was God." How can such "Word" which existed before matter, space and time not carry power? How can a "Word" which was with God, the all powerful, not carry power? Everything that comes into contact with God carried power and how can a "Word" that is God, not carry power? 

The "Word" is more than a string of letters that makes meaning, the Word of God carries power as it has life. It is the words of God which brough the earth into existence and it is these same words that have sustained those who believe it .

Read the word, meditate on it night and day for they would be your source of nourishment. If you lack understanding, ask God to enlighten you.

WHY WORRY

Inspiration from the following bible verses John 14:1 "Do not be worried and upset," Believe" in God and believe also in me. John 14:27 "Peace is what I leave with you; it is my own peace that I give you. I do not give it as the world does. Do not be worried and upset; do not be afraid. John 16: "I have told you this so that you will have peace by being united to me. The world will make you suffer. But be brave! I have defeated the world!" Why worry? It looks like the easiest thing to do when there is no solution. Why not worry? It doesn't solve the problem.I use to worry about everything. From my body to other people's problems. It just seemed natural to me, I felt worrying only meant that I cared a lot. I worried about things I had no control over and that was very stressful.Worrying doesn't just drain you of your energy, it brings about fear and panic and deprives you of peace.Is worrying a solution? No! Does worrying provide a solution?

GENESIS 18: 1-15 The Three Visitor she LORD appeared unto Abraham. After reading, kindly note these;He was at the right place. He was sensitive. He was generous,He was favoured in the sight of the visitors He had faith. Abraham was sensitive enough to know who they were, (3 in number) he offered them water to wash their feet, a place of rest and food. After the feast, the LORD prophesied the birth of Isaac, Sarah doubted it, shouldn't that have angered the LORD? Doubt hinders the fulfilment of prophecies.
