THE CONTRARY

 1 Samuel 2:1-10

HANNAH'S PRAYER

Hannah, a barren woman prayed onto God and He answered in His time. She made a vow to dedicate the child to God and she fulfilled it, she sent the child; Samuel, to serve the house of God.

What is your state in the face of troubles? Are you heartbroken? Are you discouraged? Are you in doubts? Does God seem powerless? Does the devil whisper weakening words to you and do you open your spirit to it?

Normally, you are expected to grief in times of troubles, fear and panic should take over and then you are expected to word defeat and give in to temptation.

But!

When you do the contrary, the devil is confused.

Rubber is expected to melt when exposed to fire but when it doesn't; it becomes a mystery. And more and more fire would be exposed to it till a conclusion is made.

Why should you rejoice in times of troubles, that is healthy for you and that is how you can survive. Does troubles prove the non-existence of God? Does night prove that the sun has cooled down? Does rain mean the sun has flooded?

If God be God! If He still sits on His throne and wileds power then every situation can be turned around.

Let your reaction to troubles draw God closer to you. Don't magnify your problems! Magnify God, for He is above all things. This is exactly what Hannah did in Samuel 2:1-10
